Godt jeg hadde med en erfaren garnturist til Roma i romjula. Etter suksessen han hadde i London (hvor formålet opprinnelig var fotball og pub med gutta) var det helt naturlig at han oppdaget en garnbutikk like ved Campo de Fiori. Der inne var det tettpakket med garn fra gulv til tak, og det aller meste var pakket i plast. Jeg ville ikke være en vanskelig turist, så jeg nøyde meg med å beføle det jeg kom over av nøster uten plast. Deriblant fire nøster av dette slaget: I was lucky enough to spend a few days in Rome over x-mas. Even luckier to be accompanied by a professional yarn tourist... After his great success in London (originally a football/pub-weekend with his pals) it was only natural that he was the one who spotted the little yarn shop close to Campo de Fiori. The place was cramped with wool floor to ceiling, most of it safely wrapped in plastic. I did not want to be an annoying tourist so I restrained myself to the lowest shelf with unwrapped wool. I brought home a few of these:

Dette garnet er supermykt! Så langt har det blitt ei lue til Prinsessa etter en enkel oppskrift fra eget hode. Hvert nøste på 50 g er bare 35 m. og til lua gikk det med et drøyt nøste. Jeg strikket frem og tilbake siden jeg bare hadde en laaaang rundpinne i str. 10 mm... Prinsessa er superfornøyd; lua står i fare for å bli nattlue også ;o) So far this supersoft yarn has turned into a simple hat for Princess. She is very happy with it and is rarely seen without it. It is a simple pattern (my own) knitted flat on a 10 mm loooong circular, as I don´t own a short enough circular or dpns this size. 50 g = 35 m; this hat took just over one ball.
