Pink Fairy ready for take off!

Her er den lille rosa feen, klar til å fly til ei lita frøken jeg gleder meg til å bli kjent med :o) Proporsjonene ser ikke helt gode ut, men jeg satser på at jakka kan brukes likevel. Lua er kanskje litt stor i forhold til jakka, så kanskje den må legges til "modning" ei stund. Det blir spennende å se om disse plaggene i det heletatt er funksjonelle! Here she is, the Pink Fairy - just waiting to fly away to a precious little girl I look so much forward to meet :o) The jacket looks a bit out of proportion I think, and the hat looks big compare to the jacket... I hope these garments will turn out to be functional! Knappejakt er alltid en frustrerende glede! Å ta en beslutning kan være litt av en utfordring. Skal knappene matche en av fargene i plagget? Skal de være i en kontrastfarge? Skal de være blanke? Matte? Teksturerte? Hvilket materiale skal de være laget av? Og hva slags form skal de ha??? Denne gangen endte jeg opp med halvblanke, perlemorsaktige plastknapper som faktisk matcher ALLE fargene i plaggene! De framtrer ganske diskrete mot knappestolpen, men ved nærmere ettersyn er de nydelige. Buttonhunting is always a frustrating pleasure - making a decision can be hard! Should the buttons match one of the garments colours? Should they be a contrasting colour? Should they be shiny? Matte? Textured? And what about the shape??? This time I ended up with semi shiny multicoloured mother of pearl-ish plastic buttons that actually matches ALL the colours of the garments - and they make an descrete appearance when they are sewn on, but when you take a closer look you can see that they are lovely... Dette er altså lua, basert på et Dale-mønster. Det vil si - jeg tok igrunn bare et raskt blikk på det mønsteret for å finne ut hvordan jeg kunne få til ei fin felling på bakhodet. Så strikket jeg min egen versjon, som endte opp som ei kyse-aktig lue, men uten brem. Jeg brukte en av mønsterbordene fra jakka som kanting, og siden dette er en enkel hullbord, fungerer den også som regulerbar hakestropp. So this is the hat, based on a Dale-pattern. Frankly I just had a quick look at the pattern to figure out how to make a pretty decrease on the back of the head - and then I made my own version, with the eyelet neckband and trimming. The neckband ends in a chin strap wich easily can be adjusted. This ended up as a bonnetlike hat, but without the brim.
